Why Tasman

A workshop, not a factory.

Every van that leaves our shed is built by the same hands, start to finish. No flat-pack shortcuts, no two the same — just considered design and joinery that holds up to corrugations, salt air and a long winter.

Tasmanian coastline at golden hourMade here

Designed and built where the roads run out — Tasmania.

From the Tarkine to Wineglass Bay, we build for the places we actually drive. If it can't handle a gravel track and a cold morning, it doesn't go in.

Solar, lithium and smart water systems sized to how you really travel.

Fixed quotes, real timelines.

You see the full cost up front. No surprise invoices halfway through.

Powered by the sun

Roof solar paired with lithium banks, so you can park up wild and stay put for days.

Built to last

Marine-grade ply, real cabinetry and fixings rated for the rough stuff — not glue and hope.

Made to fit you

Surfer, family, full-timer or weekender — the layout starts with how you'll live in it.

Our story

Built by hand, by someone who's been doing it a long time.

Our growing small business is led by Harrison, who brings 17 years of experience across the recreational vehicle, boat building and carpentry industries. He's fully licensed in Recreational Vehicle Manufacturing and Marine-Craft Construction — and every van that leaves the workshop carries that experience in its joinery.

From the first cut to the final fit-out — Harrison builds every van with the same care he brings to joinery, cabinetry and the details you live with every day on the road.

Built to comply

For every build, Tasman Van Fitouts makes sure the design meets Australian regulations — including roadworthiness and compliance with the Australian Design Rule (ADR). We bring in licensed electricians and gas specialists whenever they're needed so your van is safe and signed off, and we can organise engineering certification if you want it registered as a campervan.

Built around you

We specialise in campers tailored to exactly how you'll use them — out on the road or parked up for the weekend. We collaborate with you to bring your vision to life, with solutions that fit your budget, and design in clever features that make any adventure more efficient and more enjoyable.

Built to last

Our builds are hand-crafted and engineered for durability without compromise. We use lightweight materials, high-quality products and trusted 12V technology and brands, with industry-proven techniques throughout. With real craftsmanship and personal touches, we deliver campers that are functional, stylish and made to stand the test of time.

Honest, start to finish

We keep communication open and honest at every stage, so you always know where your build is at. From the first chat to the day you collect the keys, our aim is a stress-free process and a completed campervan that's ready for the road.

Certified Recreational Vehicle Manufacturer

This qualification is recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework — your assurance the build is done to a nationally recognised standard.
